Meet Benue House of Reps members yet to sponsor a single bill

Since their inauguration on June 13, 2023, in the 10th National Assembly, three members of the House of Representatives from Benue State are yet to sponsor a single bill in the lower chamber.

IDOMA VOICE reports that one of the primary duties of a legislator is to sponsor bills and move motions aimed at promoting the development and welfare of their constituencies.

However, according to data obtained by IDOMA VOICE from billtracker.naltf.gov.ng, a platform that tracks legislative activities, the following lawmakers have not sponsored any bill since their inauguration:

Party: APC
Total Bills: 0

Akume Regina [Wife of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume]
Constituency: Gboko/Tarka
Party: APC
Total Bills: 0

Tarkighir D. Dickson
Constituency: Guma/Makurdi
Party: APC
Total Bills: 0

Meanwhile, efforts to reach the lawmakers for comments on the development were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

In a related Development, Philip Agbese of the Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency currently leads his Benue colleagues with 11 bills with two already passed into law.
