Meet Idoma-born Ogebe Alice Oya, new queen of Serbian women’s football (Video and Pictures)

Ogebe Alice Oya is a household name as far as Otukpo local government area and Idoma women’s football is concerned. The former captain of the defunct Apa Queens Football club and Super Falcons player has once again proven herself worthy of being called the Queen of Idoma football.

Alice, fondly called Oya, left Lafia the capital of Nasarawa State where she was on trial to join Delta Queens and later Rivers Angles of Port Harcourt where she happened to be one of the best players on both teams.

Oya, who is the younger sister of of Hon. Ogebe Inalegwu, a former Chairmanship aspirant of Otukpo local government council got signed by Zfk Crvena zvezda otherwise called the Red Stars, a Serbian women’s football club in Serbia, Southeast Europe earlier this year.

However, delivering her team as usual has always been her priority and what she loves doing the most. Oya who is also the only black and African player on the team succeeded in scoring the most important goal that aided the Serbian club to lift the women’s FA cup tittle on Friday June 1st, 2018.
