The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State has elected its senatorial candidates ahead of the 2023 elections, IDOMA VOICE reports.
Benue North East (Zone A)
Former Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam emerged as unopposed flag bearer for Benue North East Senatorial Zone also known as Zone A.
Suswam is the current lawmaker representing the zone in the red chamber.
North West (Zone B)
Similarly, Governor Samuel Ortom emerged as unopposed flag bearer for Benue North West Senatorial Zone, otherwise known as Zone B.
The current occupant of the seat, Orker Jev did not buy a return ticket form.
Benue South (Zone C)
In Benue South, Senator Patrick Abba Moro won the PDP ticket in a keenly contested election held in Otukpo on Tuesday.
Moro, the incumbent senator floored his co-contenders, Hassan Saleh, Joseph Ojobo and Bright Ogaji to emerge the PDP flag bearer for the second time.
He will now slug it out with anyone who emerges from the APC in 2023.
