Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi, who secured his record-breaking eighth Ballon d’Or on Monday, has openly pondered the duration of his remaining playing career, expressing uncertainty about its extent.

This introspection follows his long-awaited triumph with Argentina in the World Cup, marking the completion of his illustrious trophy cabinet.

The 36-year-old maestro remains under contract with Inter Miami until December 2025.

“I don’t know if I have a lot or a little left, but after the career I’ve had, the only thing I have left is to continue enjoying it.

“As long as I am physically well, I will continue competing, hopefully it will be a long time,” Messi said.
