Mike Bamiloye reacts to viral ‘I am a Chosen challenge,’ calls it complete foolishness
Gospel filmmaker Mike Bamiloye has criticized Christians who participate in mocking the Church, aligning themselves with worldly trends.
Bamiloye was responding to a viral social media trend where people have made jest of miraculous testimonies shared by members of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries.
The controversy began when a church member claimed that a lion miraculously saved him from kidnappers, IDOMA VOICE reports.
In a viral video, he recounted: “I felt something touch my back, and suddenly, I was lifted like an airplane and dropped onto the expressway. When I turned around, I saw it was a lion. The lion raised its paw, pointed me in a direction, and said ‘bye-bye’ as I walked away.”
This video sparked the “I am a Chosen Challenge,” where social media users humorously mocked the testimonies. Other stories also surfaced, including a female member claiming she disarmed armed robbers of their AK-47 rifles, and a male member sharing his survival of kidnapping attempts, machete attacks, and gunfire without injury.
Bamiloye, in a post on his Facebook page, condemned these reactions, calling it part of the “Devil’s agenda” to ridicule the Church and harden people’s hearts. He wrote:
He wrote, “Even if the agents of the Devil are mounting the Lord’s altar to give false testimonies, it is still part of the Devil’s agenda: to ridicule the Church of God and disparage the End Time Move of God.
“It is complete foolishness and utter ignorance for a child of God to join the devil and the children of this world to make a mockery of the Church of Christ and the move of the Holy Ghost in these End Times.”
