Mikel Obi labels Hazard the laziest player in his football career

John Mikel Obi, former captain of the Super Eagles, has stated that Eden Hazard holds the title of being the least industrious footballer he has ever played alongside.

Mikel and Hazard shared the field for five seasons from 2012, before the Nigerian departed Stamford Bridge in 2016.

During their successful partnership, the duo secured victories including a Premier League title, The UEFA Europa League, and The FA Cup.

Speaking on the Obi One Podcast, Mikel Obi voiced his opinion on Hazard, stating, “He is the laziest footballer I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“But then, come the weekend and he wins the man-of-the-match award, and then he comes in and shows everyone.

“He’s like, come on guys, you see.”
