The upcoming Chelsea Legends vs Bayern Munich match, organized in honor of former Chelsea striker and manager Gianluca Vialli, will feature John Mikel Obi as the latest addition to the roster of 2012 UEFA Champions League winners.
The match organized in tribute to the ex-Chelsea forward and manager, Gianluca Vialli, is scheduled to take place at Stamford Bridge on September 9th.
The participation of Mikel’s former teammate, Ramirez, was also confirmed on Thursday.
These two players, pivotal to Chelsea’s inaugural triumph in Europe’s premier tournament, will unite with their fellow 2012 heroes: John Terry, Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou, and Michael Essien, alongside manager Roberto Di Matteo. Together, they will pay tribute to Gianluca Vialli.
A lineup of esteemed former players has also been confirmed for the match, including Gianfranco Zola, Claude Makelele, Carlo Cudicini, Eidur Gudjohnsen, and Frank Leboeuf, ensuring an exceptional and nostalgic evening.
The game is set to kick off at 7.15pm, and all proceeds generated from this event will be divided between The Chelsea Foundation and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The latter supports the vital work of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, where Gianluca Vialli received treatment.
