The Minna Niger State minimum security prison was attacked by Gunmen on Sunday june 3rd, 2018 at about 8:00 pm.
The attack reportedly led to the death of a prison officer and an Okada man who was conveying a prison officer.
A source disclosed that there was “Sporadic gun shots at Minna Minimum Prison yard at 11pm Sunday night. Jail break suspected. Learnt gang came in a fleet of cars and opened fire releasing inmates. Details later”
