Mixed reactions as Ronaldo smashes teenage fan’s phone

Football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, took many by surprise when he smashed the phone of a teenager after Everton defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The superstar stormed off the pitch and appeared to lash out at one of the home team’s supporters, smashing the fan’s mobile phone in the process.
Mm.Although the 37-year-old took star to social media to apologise for his behavior and sought to invite the fan to a United match, social media users have been attacking him.

The mother of the Everton fan has since stated her family’s side of the story to the media, claiming Ronaldo’s action was an “assault” on her teenage son.

Below are some of the reactions:

A Facebook user, Yasmine Ramzy Ghaith, said “We are humans, not angels! But you, as a famous football player, and one of the best in the world of football, setting an example for so many; you shouldn’t under any circumstances do such a thing! You need some anger management courses, it might help you with that! I suggest you get it from the best football player in the world Mohamed Salah. He does it best! You’re welcome CR7 👀🤝🏾”

Another Facebook user, Akintomide Israel Oluwasegunfunmi, said “Nah why you smash a supporter phone to the group abi ewu….and you call yourself a leader😂…continue with your anger issue….shishi you no go collect this season….I kuku know my GOAT😂😂😂😂…all hail king Messi”

A Twitter user, @roberto_fletch, said “I’m no fan of this team but signing #Ronaldo has sent #MUFC spiralling down much faster. Imagine the dressing room having to defer constantly and a weak manager allowing it to happen. Spoiling the career of #Rashford et al.”

@Mustord01 said, “Both Messi and Ronaldo are having bad season but Messi is clearly far better than Ronaldo even in there bad season era.”

@false99ii said, “If Ronaldo doesn’t get suspended from the league I’m gonna have to take matters into my own hands”

Tweeting via @rjbluefc, one Rob said, “Hes supposed to be a leader. Hes one of the problems. Cries when the team plays shit. He was non existent for that game”

@SamsonFamous said, “What is the different between this Attitude and that of Zuma kicking His own Cat, You Damaged someone’s property and you’re Inviting him to Old Trafford, to do what, Support Man U or look around the stadium, Common Think about it”

@GabrieldinhoA said, “That’s what the GOAT does all the time in defeats. Wow! He is just too bad mannered. Can’t he learn from other best players?? We have seen Messi being beaten, fouled and abused by opponents and still gets up with love and cool heart for the game with no frustration. Learn manners.”
