Mixed reactions trail failed attempt to kill Benue Gov, Ortom

Following the failed assassination attempt on Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, people of the state across social media have been reacting to the attack on the governor’s convoy.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Ortom’s convey was attacked on his farm at Tyo-mu, along Makurdi-Gboko road on Saturday. The Fulani Nationality Movement, FUNAM, claimed responsibility for the attack.

While every Benue person condemned the attack, chiefly on what is causing divided opinions online apart from the story having different accounts, is the claim by the governor that he ran 1.5 kilometers during the militia herdsmen attack.
Some have gone as far as coining a new name “Samuel Bolt” to describe the governor’s uncommon prowess in running that can only be matched by former world fastest man, Usain Bolt.

Eloyi Ogbe wrote; “While Gomna Ortorm was on his 1point 5k race,where was his armoured vehicle?”

Comr Chiv Iorwuaho Daniel wrote; “Nobody is displaying pictures of the said attack… When Boko Haram attacked Gov. Zulum we saw pictures and videos.”

Owie Emmanuel Ekpo wrote; “The scopist forget say some of us survive on scope too.”

“Am also worried about the attempted murder of Ortom, but more confused with different versions of the acted script as been highlighted in the fourth, fifth and sixth paragraph of your write-up. Thank you professor,” Asue Benjamin wrote in reaction to an article titled “The Attempted Assassination of Samuel Ortom: Time to Set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry” by Pita Agbese.

Ilias Yaqub Cna wrote; “Ortom should sell his bulletproof car & start running on foot to wherever he is going,to save money; since it is safer for him🤔”

Simon Akile wrote; “The gunmen were unprofessional. How can 15 of dem not shoot someone that was running for more than one kilometres? Or were they at the scene for jokes?”

Emmanuel Ijakwu wrote; “The National Sports Festival is fast approaching. I suggest that Ortom should represent Benue State in the long distance event. From what I have heard so far, if Ortom could run a whole distance of 1.5 km, then it is sure bet for Benue State to win the marathon.”

Gideon Selumun Nathaniel wrote; “This is bullshit, in as much as not in support of Ortom, I will not make caricature of him”

Mike Mgbanyi wrote; “Even if the gov lied, Fulani claimed being responsible for the attack and I don’t know while many people are analyzing this incidence politically.”
