Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting the Federal Government in addressing the increasing security challenges affecting the nation.

This commitment stems from a prior pledge by the Fulani group to aid President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in managing criminal elements within their community.

Bello Badejo, the leader of Miyetti Allah, declared this commitment in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. He outlined plans for a security body comprising more than 2,000 personnel, emphasizing that this initiative would collaborate with existing security agencies to enhance overall safety measures. The quasi-security outfit’s primary goal is to identify and apprehend criminal elements among cattle herders within their community, thereby mitigating unjust allegations against those wrongly accused due to the actions of a few.

Badejo stated, “The personnel will be recruited from the local communities where they reside, a strategic move aimed at addressing security challenges in Nasarawa and various flashpoints in other states.”

Furthermore, he sought government support in providing non-kinetic equipment for the outfit. The initiative intends to expand its operations to Plateau, Kaduna, the Federal Capital Territory, and other security-sensitive states to combat the prevailing issues.

Miyetti Allah has previously faced allegations of involvement in conflicts between herders and farmers in the country.
