Modupe Temitope Dada, wife of Mike Dada, the Executive Producer and President of the All Africa Music Awards, has passed away.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Mike Dada announced in a statement on Monday that his wife passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, surrounded by family at Duchess Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos State, after a brief illness.
He described Modupe as a strong believer in family values, community service, and inclusivity. She was known for her compassion, deep love for God, and dedication to Africa.
A Service of Songs will be held in her honor on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 5:00 pm at Grace Assembly, Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos State. The farewell service is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10:00 am at the same venue, followed by a private interment.
The statement read: “It is with profound grief that the Dada family announces the passing of our beloved wife and sister, Modupe Temitope Dada, affectionately known as Dupsy, Mama Africa. She passed on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
“She was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to both the banking and entertainment industries, blessing us with her compassion and love. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void.
“We submit to God’s will and humbly request prayers and support from kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time.
“She was a loving wife, mother, and friend who always put family and Africa first. Her loss is deeply felt by all.”
Modupe Temitope Dada was born on May 5, 1976, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.
