Mohbad’s wife agrees to DNA test for son’s paternity

Omowunmi Aloba, widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has confirmed her willingness to undergo a DNA test to verify the paternity of their son, Liam.

In a Monday statement, Omowunmi, also known as Wunmi, clarified that her decision was made without external pressure. She emphasized that contrary to social media rumors, she was not coerced by Mohbad’s family or critics into taking the test.

“I decided on my own to conduct the DNA test on my son, Liam,” she said. “I want everyone to know that I wasn’t forced into this, as some online sources claim.”

Wunmi explained that her initial reluctance stemmed from the manner in which the request was made, though she had always been open to the test under the right conditions.
