According to the group it intends to “use this case against Jaruma as a significant standpoint in our historic fight against this cankerworm called fake news being that she has plied this trade successfully for a long period without getting the wrath of the law until recently when Prince Ned Nwoko, himself a victim and advocate against fake news, decided to put a stop to it.”

He further stated that “Our gathering here is not only a statement to the above but also in solidarity of the Nwokos who have suffered greatly the pains of fake news as being peddled by Jaruma and her co-travelers in a bid to tarnish the image of a well meaning Nigerian and his family.”

Meanwhile the group has encouraged the judiciary to deliver justice in order to serve as deterrent to others who may want to engage in fake news peddling.
