Morocco to host 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League finals
The Confederation African Football (CAF) has officially designated Morocco as the host nation for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League Finals.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 9 to November 23, 2024.
Morocco previously hosted the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2022, showcasing the continent’s premier women’s club football competition.
Eight teams will compete for the championship title, with the winners receiving a prize of $400,000, while the runners-up will take home $250,000.
Mamelodi Sundowns, the reigning champions, have won the tournament twice in the past three years.
Morocco’s ASFAR claimed the title in 2022 after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns.
Since its inception, the CAF Women’s Champions League has played a pivotal role in advancing women’s football across Africa.
Morocco’s selection as host for this prestigious tournament follows its successful organization of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2022.
