Nantes winger Moses Simon has been nominated for the Ligue 1 Goal of the Month award for December/January.
Simon earned the nomination for his stunning goal in Nantes’ 1-0 win over Stade Rennes on December 8 at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
The 29-year-old skilfully dribbled past three defenders before unleashing a powerful strike into the top corner.
Also in contention for the award are Olympique Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze, Saint-Étienne’s Lucas Stassin and Augustine Boakye, along with Maghanes Akilouche.
In addition to the Goal of the Month nomination, the Nigeria international is also a contender for the top assist provider award.
So far this season, Simon has scored five goals and provided six assists in 18 appearances for Nantes.
