A commercial motorcyclist has tragically lost his life following an accident involving an overspeeding black Mercedes saloon car in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday at Osuntokun Junction, opposite a commercial bank in the New Bodija area. The vehicle crashed into a pharmacy, causing extensive damage to the building.
In addition to the destruction of the pharmacy, two other cars parked outside were also damaged. The driver of the Mercedes sustained serious injuries and was quickly taken to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
The body of the motorcyclist, who was found inside the pharmacy, has been moved to the UCH morgue for further proceedings.
