Mr Ibu’s wife pays tribute to late husband on his first posthumous birthday

Stella Maris Okafor, wife of the late veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, commemorated his posthumous birthday on Thursday, October 17, sharing heartfelt memories of their time together.

In a touching tribute, she posted family photos, reflecting on the beautiful moments they had. This marks the first birthday since Mr. Ibu’s passing earlier this year.

Stella Maris fondly recalled how much her husband loved celebrating his birthdays and expressed her enduring affection for him. She honored his memory, acknowledging the profound impact of his absence on this special day.

She wrote, “Today is my late husband’s birthday (Mr. IBU). This marks the first without him celebrating with us. I can’t forget how much he cherished his birthdays… We miss him so much. May his soul continue to rest in eternal peace, Amen.”

Nigerians flooded her timeline with condolences and words of support.

One commenter, @mirabless_, wrote, “Hmm, this life… Ibu is now history, nawa ooo. A wife is a wife no matter what, a virtuous wife can’t be compared to anything. Rest on Mr. Funny.”

Actress Eve Esin also commented, “Keep resting mate. Sis, be strong,” while @sequencials added, “What a life. Take good care of the kids, madam. The Lord is your strength, be strong.”
