Muslim umma in Benue pay homage to Gov. Ortom during salah celebration (Photos)

It was a time for fraternal interaction and conviviality at the Benue Peoples’ House, Makurdi as the Muslim Umma in Benue State under the leadership of the Jama’atula Nasirul Islam, today paid Sallah homage on Benue State governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom.
Governor Ortom, who was represented by his deputy, Engr Benson Abounu congratulated Muslims in the state on the celebration of this year’s Eid-El Fitri.
He commended the Benue Muslim Umma for understanding the true meaning of Islam and working to promote peace and peaceful co-existence in the state.
He stated the belief of the government in the brotherhood of every person that is in Benue State, be they Muslims or Christians or animists and expressed joy that the state has not experienced any form of religious disturbances.
The leader of the delegation, Alhaji Garba Baba (AGB) congratulated Governor Ortom on his successful re-election and swearing-in.
He thanked him for the appointments given to Muslims in the state and acknowledged his role in standing firm in the defence of the Benue people, promising to support him in 2023 to defend not only Benue State but the totality of the oppressed people of Nigeria.
