‘My ambition is for our collective good’ – Abba Moro tells Idomas in Lagos

By Emmanuel Eche-Ofun John

The Police College, Ikeja, the venue of this year’s Idoma Cultural Day In Lagos, came alive today as illustrious sons and daughters the Idoma nation trooped out in their number to celebrate themselves.

Among the dignitaries who graced the event was the PDP senatorial candidate for Benue South, Comr. Abba Moro.

Abba who was the guest speaker at the event, praised the Idoma people in Lagos for their patriotism, zeal and quest for a better Idomaland. He was impressed with the unity being encouraged through the annual event, which brings together all Idomas in Lagos. He urged the people to continue to love one another, shun crime and work harder to better their lives and Idomaland at large.

As for the 2019 general election, Abba informed the people that his ambition to represent them in the senate was nothing personal, but for the good of the land. ‘I’m going there to represent you and you will be adequately represented. I will continue from where Senator David Mark will stop, for qualitative and quantitative representation”, he stated. He pleaded with those who are registered voters at home to find their ways home during the election to cast their votes for him, promising never to fail them.

Responding, the leadership of the Idoma Forum in Lagos state thanked Comr. Abba for honouring their invitation. They described him as the ‘Man of the people’ and promised to give him all the support they could give to ensure that he wins the senatorial election. They promised to mobilize their relatives at home to vote for him, describing him as the ‘Best man for the job’.

Comr. Abba Moro was given an award in recognition of his tireless and unmatched contribution to the development of Idomaland, especially in terms of human development.
