Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, has confirmed that he wants to leave the club this summer amid interest from Barcelona.
Lewandowski said his era at Bayern Munich is over, adding that the Bundesliga champions will not keep him at the club beyond this summer. The future of Lewandowksi has been dominating the headlines of late.
The Poland international will enter the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich next month and has confirmed that he does not wish to sign an extension as he is keen on leaving the club and testing himself elsewhere.
“My era at Bayern is over. I don’t see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore,” Lewandowski was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying.
“Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don’t want to play there anymore. A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me.”
