My ex-boyfriend’s criticism made me stop singing – Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie, the renowned American actress, has disclosed the reason behind her decision to stop singing. She attributes it to the harsh criticism she received from a former boyfriend regarding her voice.

In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jolie shared that her ex-partner’s unkind remarks about her singing abilities led her to believe she couldn’t sing. Despite her background in theatre, the negative feedback had a significant impact on her self-confidence.

Jolie explained, “I don’t sing. I had someone in my life who was not supportive of my singing. It was during a relationship, and I ended up believing that I couldn’t really sing. It was surprising how much it affected me, given my theatre background. I adapted to this person’s opinion as my reality.”
