Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels revealed that her mother and entire family were initially opposed to her marriage to Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko.
During a live session on Instagram, Regina shared that she met her husband while on an outing with one of her ex-boyfriends.
“I went to visit my boyfriend and was frustrated about going sightseeing, but when we arrived, I met a charming man,” she recounted. “The moral of the story is that your boyfriend shouldn’t prevent you from meeting your husband.
When I started dating my husband, I forgot about having boyfriends; I had about 20 at the time. When people think I had no choice, I just laugh.”
She also clarified that while some believed her mother forced her into the marriage, it was actually the opposite—her family was against it.
Ned Nwoko married Regina Daniels in May 2019 in Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta State, despite their significant age difference. Explaining his choice to marry the 23-year-old actress, the 63-year-old politician stated, “I married her because she is from my community. I wanted to marry someone from my place, and when I met her, I knew she was the one.”
