Nabeeha: Tears, anger trail murder of 400-level ABU student

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a two-time presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed deep sorrow over the senseless killing of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, one of the victims of a recent kidnapping incident.

The unfortunate event unfolded when Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and his six children were abducted by bandits. Regrettably, Nabeeha, a 400-level student of biological science at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, fell victim to the brutality of her captors and was pronounced dead on Friday. She was subsequently laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites on Saturday.

Among those still in captivity are Najeebah, a 500-level student of Quantity Surveying, and Nadheerah, a 300-level student of Zoology.

Expressing his grief on Sunday morning, the former Vice President conveyed his condolences on X, stating, “I am saddened by reports of the brutal murder of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar. This is yet another reminder that kidnappers and bandits are operating unhindered in our country.”

Atiku Abubakar called upon the authorities responsible for national security to intensify efforts in rescuing those still held captive by these criminals. He further extended prayers for the eternal rest of the deceased and offered words of comfort to the grieving family.
