1. Sobur Olayiwola Olawale, A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has slumped and died in Jos, Plateau State. The lawmaker has the nickname ‘Omititi.’ Olawale was in Jos where he attended the APC’s presidential campaign flag-off. He was said to have died on his way back to Lagos, but still in Jos, sources said on Tuesday.

2. Fight broke out Tuesday at the campaign flag off of the All Progressives Congress in Jos, Plateau State capital. A 3-minute clip sighted by IDOMA VOICE saw some resented youths throwing objects at APC leaders on stage. A man could be heard begging security forces to stop beating them while calling for calm in Hausa language.

3. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday thrilled the audience at the United Nations World Tourism Organisation global conference in Iganmu, Lagos State, when he gave his rendition of Kizz Daniel’s hit song, “Buga”. In the event, monitored by our correspondent via Channels Television, the vice president spoke on the theme of the event, ‘Linking Tourism, Culture and Creative Industries: Pathways to Recovery and Improving Development.’

4. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has reacted to the recent attack against him by the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo. IDOMA VOICE recalls that Soludo had on Monday, tackled Obi who happens to be his predecessor, saying he lacks the capacity to win the February presidential poll.

Nigeria’s Maverick entertainer and social engineer, Charlyboy, also known as the AreaFada, has predicted the impossibility of conducting general elections in 2023 due to the current state of the nation. Worried about hunger, poverty, the dollar rise, attacks on the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and a host of other challenges ravaging the entire country, Charlyboy declared that the 2023 election is currently under threat.

6. Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s first son Ozonna Soludo has distanced himself from his father’s attack on the person of Peter Obi. Ozonna, who is a musician, said although he doesn’t want to be dragged into the ongoing fight between Obi and his father, he thinks the Labour Party’s presidential candidate still remains the best among other contestants.

7. Och’Idoma, HRM Chief Elaigwu John Obagaji Odogbo has condoled with Sen. David Mark over the passing away of his son, Jonathan Owoicho Tunde Mark. HRM Elaigwu visited the former President of the Nigerian Senate at his Otukpo Mansion on Monday, 14th November 2022.

8. The Court of Appeal has sacked former Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio, as the All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial candidate for Akwa-Ibom North/West District in the 2023 General Elections. The judgment was delivered on Monday evening in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

9. Head coach José Santos Peseiro has the full complement of invited players as three-time African champions Nigeria get set for what could be a fiery international friendly with Portugal in Lisbon on Thursday. In camp are goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Maduka Okoye and Adebayo Adeleye, defenders William Ekong, Chidozie Awaziem, Kevin Akpoguma, Calvin Bassey, Tyronne Ebuehi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ebube Duru, as well as midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo. 10. Israel Adesanya has been handed an indefinite medical suspension following his knockout loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 281. Adesanya, 33, was attempting to make the sixth defence of his middleweight title at Madison Square Garden in New York against old kickboxing rival Pereira, but he lost the belt after being knocked out in the fifth round. ‘The Last Stylebender’ was winning most of the fight and just needed to hear the final bell to retain his belt, but Pereira hurt him with a flurry of punches that saw referee Marc Goddard stop the fight with three minutes left.
