  1. Not less than 13 persons were feared dead since the fresh attack by suspected armed herdsmen on Iwili community in Umogidi Ward and  Entekpa community all in Adoka District of Otukpo Local Government Area, LGA, of Benue state.

    A source in area disclosed that the attacks left several persons injured while the affected villages have been deserted by the locals who fled for fear of being killed.

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, on behalf of the people of the senatorial district condoles with former Minister of Agriculture and elder statesman, Chief Audu Ogbeh on the passing of his dear daughter, Odema Izegbua Akerele.

    Odema died on 9th February 2024 at the age of 42 and was buried this Saturday.

  10. The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has accused a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, of committing so many economic offences during his time in power as the head of the country’s apex bank.

    The atrocities the Senate President accused Emefiele of committing include illegal possession of firearms, printing naira notes without authorization, and others which put Nigeria in an economic mess.
