  1. Nigeria’s inflation rate has increased to 33.2% for the month of March 2024 according to the latest data released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

    The new figure represents a 1.5% increase from the 32.7% recorded in February 2024.

  2. The federal government of Nigeria has outlined new regulations that will guide the sale of crude oil to refineries in Nigeria.

    The government, through the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) said oil producers are to sell crude oil to local refineries in a move to reduce the country’s dependence on imported refined products.

  3. The Kano State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has opposed the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje.

    IDOMA VOICE reported that Ganduje was suspended by his ward in DawakinTofa local government area of Kano State, on Monday, over alleged corruption.

  4. Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has declared that President Bola Tinubu has restored the fuel subsidy regime but many Nigerians don’t know.

    According to him, the federal government is currently paying more for fuel subsidies than before it was removed by President Tinubu in May 2023.

  5. President Bola Tinubu on Monday returned to Abuja after a week of Eid-El-Fitr break in Lagos.

    Upon arrival, he was received at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport by top government officials, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, and others.

  6. The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has called on Nigerians to report any instances of arbitrary price hikes by businesses.

    IDOMA VOICE reports that the Commission made the call in a statement released on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, amid rising concerns over the impact of escalating prices on consumer welfare and economic stability.

  7. The Fulani community leaders in Nigeria have urged the citizenry to be patient with the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

    They reiterated their support for Tinubu’s administration, adding that efforts aimed at repositioning the country will soon begin to materialize.

  8. The Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) is contemplating a merger with multiple political parties across the nation to build a powerful coalition to overthrow the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

    The National Chairman of the ADC, Ralphs Nwosu, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

  9. The Anambra State Police has spoken on the controversy surrounding the burial of the victims of the Anam boat mishap by the riverside.

    According to the police, three of the deceased were buried by the riverside but actor Junior Pope and one other are still in the morgue.

  10. Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has taken a jab at Nigerians who appear as saints online, condemning him for his marital decision while battling with marital crisis in their homes.
