Ahead of May 29 Swearing-in of President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on Monday, the Nigerian Naira depreciated against the U.S. dollar, reaching an exchange rate of N463.50 at the Investors and Exporters window. This marked a 0.11% decrease compared to the N463 rate it had on May 19 at the close of business.
Throughout the day’s trading, the highest exchange rate recorded was N467 to the dollar, but it eventually settled at N463.50. On the other hand, the Naira was sold for as low as 460 to the dollar during the trading session.
At the official Investors and Exporters window, a total of $106.84 million was traded, indicating the volume of foreign exchange transactions conducted during that period.
