Naira falls for fourth consecutive day against Dollar
The Naira on Thursday extended its losing streak at the official foreign exchange market, marking its fourth consecutive day of depreciation against the US Dollar.
According to figures released by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the currency weakened further to N1,456.07 per dollar, compared to N1,455.38 recorded on Wednesday.
This reflects a daily drop of 0.6 kobo and a cumulative decline of N4.21 over the past four trading days.
However, the parallel market remained unchanged, with the Naira trading steadily at N1,490 per dollar on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The sustained downward pressure on the official rate persists despite the rise in Nigeria’s external reserves, which climbed to $45.41 billion as of November 10, 2025.
