The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State has won all the 23 local government seats and 276 councillors in the recently concluded local government elections in the state.
Chairman of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission, BSIEC, Dr. Tersoo Loko who announced the results in the commission’s head office in Makurdi, the state capital said the election was relatively peaceful.
According to the BSIEC Chairman, those who returned elected included; Hon. Oche James Ogaba (Ado), Hon. Peter Joseph Ngbede (Agatu), Hon. Amali Victoria Auchi (Apa), Hon. Mozeh Judith Iember (Buruku), Hon. Mtom Isaac Terkuma (Gboko), Hon. Ubah Mike (Guma), Hon. Akua Agatha Sewuese (Gwer-East), Hon. Ayande Andrew (Gwer-West), Hon. Atera Alfred Avalumun (Katsina-Ala), Hon. Amile Christina (Konshisha), Hon. Orjiir Ornguga Gbande (Kwande), Hon. Tor Salome Shiden (Logo), Hon. Torbunde Eunice Kusange (Makurdi).
Others included; Hon. Akpa Anthony Ogbu (Obi), Hon. Umoru David Abah (Ogbadibo), Hon. Okwe Evelyn Ichiko (Oju), Hon. Akatu Stephen Adakole (Ohimini), Hon. Audu Amina (Okpokwu), Hon. Ejeh John Bako (Otukpo), Hon. Ade Nguhar Aondover (Tarka), Hon. Kartyo Tyoubur (Ukum), Hon. Chief. Mrs. Gajir Nyiaii Veronica (Ushongo) and Hon. Tyonongo Alexander Terver (Vandeikya) local government respectively.
