Governor Samuel Ortom this evening condoled the family of Mr. Mhir Aii Iyenge over the death of his wife, Mrs. Nancy Erlune Mhir Iyenge.
The Governor in a condolence visit to the family’s residence in Makurdi said it was devastating and painful to lose a loved one especially at an unriped age, stressing however that death is inevitable and comes at God’s appointed time.
He prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Husband of the deceased, Mr. Mhir Aii Iyenge noted that the Governor’s visit had consoled the family greatly, saying the Governor had always shown concern for his people in times of need.
He stated that his wife had been diabetic for over 20 years and suffered gunshots during an armed robbery attack, pointing out that since the injuries, she had been on and off the hospital till her death.
