The committee of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly investigating the alleged misappropriation of relief aid has called upon Governor Abdullahi Sule’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Nawani Aboki, and Mr. Bello Akoza, the Overseer of Ekye Development Area.
Mr. Abel Bala, Chair of the Committee and Deputy Speaker of the House, issued the summons on Monday while some council Chairmen were being questioned in Lafia.
Bala directed Aboki and Akoza to appear before the committee on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
They were summoned to provide clarity regarding their roles in the distribution of aid meant to mitigate the effects of the fuel subsidy removal in the region.
The Chairman emphasized the committee’s dedication to a thorough inquiry, underscoring the necessity of the summons. He cautioned that anyone found involved in diverting the aid would face repercussions, emphasizing the committee’s resolve to ensure accountability.
