A senior lecturer with the department of History and International Studies at Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), identified as Dr. Fred Ekpe Ayokhai, was on Friday, October 21, captured brutalizing a 20-year-old girl who fought his daughter over a man.
The girl, named Blessing Mathias, had sometime last week confronted Ayokhai’s daughter, Emmanuella Onawegie, for trying to ‘snatch’ her boyfriend, simply identified as IG.
Blessing confronted Emmanuella in Lafia, Nasarawa State, after she found out that she had her boyfriend’s number and was chatting with him. She had asked her to delete the number but Emmanuella blatantly refused leading to a fight. A source revealed.
Sequel to the confrontation, “Emmanuella in the company of her father, Ekpe Ayokhai, her brother, Praise Shola and other family members, stormed Blessing’s home to give her the most inhuman treatment ever. The source added.
“In some viral videos recorded by the family shows that they used sticks, broom, 2 by 2 wood, belt, among other materials to beat her before forcing her into a car. They, thereafter, drove her into an unknown area where the senior lecturer used a pair of scissors to tear her dress from her body.
“They later pushed her out of the car, took pics of her and abandoned her in the forest looking area.” The source added.
However, as at the time of filing this report, the Police in Lafia have reportedly arrested and detained Mr Ekpe Ayokhai and his daughter, Emmanuella while his son, Shola is said to be at large.
