The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro, congratulates the Och’Idoma-elect, Dr. (Pastor) John Elaigwu Odogbo.
Pastor Odogbo was elected the 5th paramount ruler of the Idoma nation on Thursday after polling the highest votes to defeat his opponents.
Senator Moro hails the process that led to the selection of the new occupant of Idoma traditional stool. He thanks the Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, the selection committee team, led by Chief Ekpe Ogbu, and the Benue State Bureau Of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for a smooth and transparent exercise.
He equally salutes the courage and patriotism of those who contested the traditional seat with Dr. Odogbo, urging them to join hands with the new monarch to move the Idoma nation forward, stressing that there can be only one Och’Idoma at a time.
The Comrade-Senator appeals to the good people of Benue South, especially the intermediate areas, to abide by the decision taken by the kingmakers and give every necessary support to the new royal father.
He reiterates his earlier comment that the Paramount Ruler remains a symbol of the Idoma nation and deserves the support of all and sundry. He assures the Royal Father-elect of his total support to succeed in office.
Ameh Comrade Godwin
