Suspected bandits ruthlessly killed the Village Head of Zazzaga in the Munya Local Government Area in Niger State, Malam Usman Sarki, and seized several others in a horrifying attack.
A community leader, who requested anonymity, revealed to reporters in Munya that the assailants carried out their assault on Zazzaga and nearby communities during the night. The source further disclosed that an unspecified number of farmers, including women, were among those kidnapped.
In the words of the source, “The attack was launched on Tuesday night. They fatally shot Malam Usman Sarki, the Village Head of Zazzaga, and abducted numerous others. At this point, we cannot provide an exact count of those taken. Additionally, they made off with many of our cattle, goats, and sheep.”
When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, verified the incident. However, he mentioned that he had not yet received comprehensive details about the alleged assault by the suspected bandits.
