Nigeria 3 – Canada 1: Super Falconets end group stage with 9 points

The Super Falconets of Nigeria Thursday morning beat their Canadian counterparts 3-1 in their last group match in the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Nigerian ladies now top Group C with 9 points after winning all their three matches.

The Christopher Danjuma-led side had defeated France and Korea Republic one goal in their first two games to qualify for the quarter final stage.

In the match played at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in the wee hours of Thursday,
Two goals from Onyenezide and one from Chioma Olise was all the Falconets needed to end the group stage with 9 points for the first time.

They will face the Netherlands in the quarterfinal on Sunday
