Nigeria Customs 2025 recruitment [How to apply]
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially launched its recruitment exercise for 2025, assuring Nigerians of a fair, transparent, and cost-free application process.
In an announcement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the NCS urged the public to beware of fraudsters seeking to exploit applicants. The agency reiterated that no fees would be required at any stage of the recruitment process and encouraged applicants to report any fraudulent activities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Have no criminal record or ongoing investigation.
- Be physically and mentally fit, with proof of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital.
Academic Requirements
The recruitment exercise covers three cadres, each with specific educational qualifications:
- Superintendent Cadre: A university degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Inspectorate Cadre: A National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from an accredited institution.
- Customs Assistant Cadre: A minimum of an O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).
Application Timeline
Applications opened on December 27, 2024, and will close on January 2, 2025. Interested candidates must apply through the official portal: https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng.

The NCS aims to recruit 3,927 officers as part of its 2025 plan to strengthen trade facilitation and support Nigeria’s economic recovery initiatives.
