The Super Eagles of Nigeria Saturday ended Benin Republic’ 8-year unbeaten home record in the African Cup of Nations Qualifying match at the Charles De Gualles Stadium, Porto Novo.

The game ended a goal less draw after 90 minutes of play, but Gent’s giant, Paul Onuachu scored for the Eagles at extra time, 93 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles of Nigeria had earlier qualified for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, even before the kick off of their game against Benin Republic in Porto Novo. The Eagles pulled through following a goalless draw between Lesotho and Sierra Leone in the early kick-off in Group L.

Super Eagles will now face Lesotho for their final Group L game on Tuesday in Lagos.
