Nigeria vs Benin Republic: Iwobi missing from Starting XI, Osimhen to lead attack despite poor form

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has picked his Starting XI for the Nigeria Vs Benin Republic AFCON Qualifying match.

Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen is selected to lead the Eagles’ attack despite poor form at club level.

IDOMA VOICE observed that Everton star, Alex Iwobi, is neither on Coach Rohr’s Staring X1 or substitute list.

Also team Captain, Ahmed Musa is missing from both list.

William Troost-Ekong will captain the team for the match.

Ola Aina, Ndidi, Henry Onyekuru, Peter Etebor, Aribo, Sanusi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Chukwueze and Balogun completely the Starting X1.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be locking horns with the Squirrels of Benin Republic at the Charles De Gaulles Stadium, Porto Novo by 5 00pm today (Saturday 27 March).

Meanwhile, the super Eagles have confirmed their place at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, even before the kick off of their game against Benin Republic in Porto Novo. The Eagles pulled through following a goalless draw between Lesotho and Sierra Leone in the early kick-off in Group L.
