Frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State, Tever Akase, has hailed Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, for his excellent performance against Egypt in AFCON group D opener on Tuesday.
Moses Simon played a key role in the Super Eagles victory against the Pharaohs, placing Kelechi Iheanacho for the winner.
Reacting, Akase, a former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, said many good things coming out of Benue.
He wrote, “Proudly Benue!
Just to let you know that the Super Eagles star striker Moses Simon is from Benue State, precisely Obagaji, Agatu LGA.
Like the biblical Moses, he stretched his staff upon the water with a long range cross that led to the sinking of the Pharaohs in the ‘red sea’.
Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon, super performance!
Many good things coming out of Benue – from music stars, sports stars, academics and entrepreneurs. We will get there.”
