Nigerian actor and content creator, Odira Nwobu confirmed dead

Nigerian actor and content creator, Odira Nwobu, has been reportedly confirmed dead.

The news of his alleged passing was made public on Monday by fellow content creator, Awuzie Frankline, who shared a video on Facebook showing Nwobu lying motionless. Frankline did not provide details on the cause of death, but his posts suggested that Nwobu died only hours after a night out at a club in South Africa over the weekend.

Expressing deep shock and grief, Frankline wrote:
“God why! ODIRA why leave us… The call I received now was not a good one. #Odiegwu.”

In another post, he lamented:
“You were full of life just some hours ago in South Africa. You even had your thanksgiving service a few months back and many people came to celebrate with you. How can you return from South Africa lifeless? I am drowning in tears. Death is rude. I am heartbroken.”

Another comedian, Evan Okoro, also reacted emotionally, posting Nwobu’s photo with the caption:
“No, no… I can’t believe this. Nooooo!”

It will be recalled that a few months ago, Nwobu survived a ghastly car accident involving multiple victims, raising concerns among fans who celebrated his recovery at the time.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from his family or management confirming the circumstances of his reported death.
