Nigerian Air Force 2024 recruitment, online registration process, closing date, documents required

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially launched its highly anticipated 2024 recruitment exercise, inviting young and eligible Nigerians to join the ranks of its tradesmen and women, as well as non-tradesmen and women. The recruitment process, which is entirely free of charge, offers a unique opportunity for individuals to serve their country and build a career in one of Africa’s most prestigious military institutions.

Online Registration Process

The NAF 2024 recruitment exercise kicked off on August 21, 2024, and interested applicants have until October 2, 2024, to complete their online registration. The process has been streamlined to ensure ease of access and transparency, with applicants required to fill out their details accurately on the official NAF recruitment portal.

To begin the registration, applicants must visit the Nigerian Air Force website and navigate to the recruitment section. There, they will find detailed instructions on how to complete the application form, including the necessary fields for personal information, educational background, and preferred service category (tradesmen/women or non-tradesmen/women). It is crucial for applicants to carefully read and follow the guidelines to avoid any mistakes that could lead to disqualification.

Closing Date

The online registration window closes on October 2, 2024. Applicants are advised not to wait until the last minute to submit their applications, as the portal may experience heavy traffic, leading to potential delays. Early registration is encouraged to ensure that all required documents are accurately uploaded and that there is ample time to rectify any issues that may arise.

Documents Required

As part of the registration process, applicants are required to upload several documents to verify their eligibility. These documents include:

  1. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age: This document is essential to confirm that the applicant falls within the required age range for the chosen category (18-22 years for non-tradesmen/women, and 18-25 years for tradesmen/women).

  2. Educational Certificates: Applicants must provide original and photocopies of their academic credentials, including SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB certificates for non-tradesmen/women and relevant National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate of Education (NCE) for tradesmen/women.

  3. Indigeneship Certificate: This certificate, issued by the applicant’s local government area, verifies their state of origin and eligibility for the recruitment exercise.

  4. Local Government Area Attestation Form: This form must be signed by a military officer of the rank of Wing Commander or higher, or by a senior government official. The attestation form must be accompanied by a passport photograph and the signee’s identification documents.

  5. Passport Photographs: Two recent passport-sized photographs must be submitted, stamped, and countersigned by the appropriate officer.

  6. Acknowledgment and Consent Forms: After completing the online application, applicants must print and sign the acknowledgment form and parent/guardian consent form, which confirm their willingness to join the Nigerian Air Force and their understanding of the recruitment process.

Final Steps

Upon successful submission of the online application, candidates will receive a notification on the next steps, including dates for the selection board interview exercise. Those who pass the initial screening will be invited to proceed to the final stages of the recruitment process.

The Nigerian Air Force has reiterated that the recruitment exercise is entirely free, warning applicants to avoid falling victim to fraudsters who may attempt to exploit the process. Any attempt to submit false documents or impersonate another person will result in immediate disqualification and possible legal action.
