Nigerian Army promotes Idoma-born Ochai to rank to Brigadier General, Adole to Lt. Colonel, Amedu to Major, others (Full List)

Promotions have come the ways of Idoma natives currently serving in the Nigerian Army.

This is just as over 10 Idoma sons gained promotions in the recent elevation by authorities oif Nigerian Army.

Details of the promotion were contained in a Nigerian Army memo signed by GAT Ochigbano, a major general.

The memo, which is dated November 25, 2020, according to Mr Ochigbano, is made pursuant to the powers conferred on the Army Council by virtue of Section 10 (1) and 11 (b) of the Armed Forces Act Cap A20 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

“Consequently, the Army Council has approved the promotion of the underlisted officers to the rank of major general, brigadier general, colonel and lieutenant colonel with effect from dates shown against their names,” the memo reads in part.

Among the Idoma sons promoted are Brigadier General JO Ochai of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre Abuja.

The affected senior officers include 16 Air Commodores (Air Cdres) who were promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal (AVM), 31 Group Captains (Gp Capts) who were promoted to the rank of Air Cdre, 27 Wing Commanders (Wg Cdrs) promoted to the rank of Gp Capt and 33 Squadron Leaders (Sqn Ldrs) promoted to the rank of Wg Cdr.
