The Nigerian Army has officially retired 15 senior officers from its Artillery Corps, marking a notable transition in its leadership.

The retirees include 11 Major Generals and four Brigadier Generals, all of whom played pivotal roles in providing artillery firepower support to frontline forces throughout their careers.

The retirement ceremony was held at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery in Kaduna State, where the contributions of these officers were formally recognized.

The Artillery Corps is renowned for its critical role in enhancing the Army’s operational effectiveness through artillery support in various military operations.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Nigerian Army honored the retiring officers, stating, “The Nigerian Army formally pulled out 15 retired generals from the Artillery Corps on Saturday, October 19, 2024, during a ceremony at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery in Kachia, Kaduna State.
