The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of $4.7 million, N830 million, and multiple properties linked to Godwin Emefiele, the embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Justice Yellim Bogoro delivered the ruling on Friday following a forfeiture request filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to EFCC counsel Bilkisu Buhari-Bala, the forfeited funds—now in the custody of the federal government—were held in accounts at First Bank, Titan Bank, and Zenith Bank. These accounts were managed by individuals and entities, including:
