  1.  The price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, could drop to around N300 per litre with large-scale production by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and other local producers. This is contingent on the government’s provision of adequate crude oil to local refiners.

  2.  CORAN emphasized the importance of adequate crude oil supply to local refineries, highlighting that foreign refineries are currently profiting significantly at Nigeria’s expense.

  3. Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar claimed he played a crucial role in saving President Bola Tinubu’s political career, countering the belief that Tinubu helped him during his conflict with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

  4.  President Bola Tinubu appointed Dr. Nkiruka Maduekwe as the interim Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC), pending her confirmation by the NCCC Supervisory Council.

  5. Human rights activists filed a lawsuit against the Benue State Government, contesting the Public Order Bill which prohibits hawking at public events after 10 PM. The plaintiffs argue that the law infringes on fundamental citizen rights.

  6. Suspected gunmen killed eleven people and destroyed properties in border communities within the Wukari Local Government Area, which borders Taraba and Benue states. The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday.

  7.  Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi described the 2023 general election as fraudulent and plagued with widespread irregularities, despite significant financial expenditure.

  8. Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf accused the previous administration led by Abdullahi Ganduje of neglecting the education sector, alleging that public schools were sold and converted into private shops.

  9. Atiku Abubakar criticized Vice President Kashim Shettima for claiming that he (Atiku) benefitted from President Tinubu’s goodwill, recalling his reliance on Tinubu after being expelled from his party.

  10. Peter Obi called on the Federal Government to end the killing spree in the country, particularly responding to the murder of seven mobile police officers by armed bandits in Zamfara State.
