  1. The Chairman of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Edward Orim, announced that President Bola Tinubu, Service Chiefs, and NSA Nuhu Ribadu will participate in a conference focused on enhancing security in Africa.

  6. Saleh Abu, a herder residing in Awe Azara, Nasarawa State, has been brought before the Makurdi Chief Magistrates’ Court in Benue State on Friday, facing a three-count charge, including conspiracy, open grazing, and damage to crops.

  7. Abu pleaded not guilty to the charges, which stem from allegations that he and others drove their herd of cows and sheep into a farmer’s field, consuming crops amounting to N700,000.

  8. In Ipara, Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State, a mentally challenged man brutally beheaded 84-year-old Elder Alfred Opadipe, leading to confusion in the town.

  9. The suspect behind the beheading, 32-year-old David Shodola, violently resisted arrest, resulting in his demise.

  10. Nigerian musician Charles Oputa, known as Charly Boy, explained that he remains in the country because of the hope he holds in Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), despite the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as president two months ago.
