1. At least, 9 persons were injured and many valuables destroyed in a fresh bomb blast that rocked Nukkai area of Jalingo on Friday.
Report said the explosives went up at a bear palour Friday night.
2. The Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi is dead.
Report says the Alafin died at the age of 83 at the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital on Friday.
3. No fewer than 20 persons have been killed in a series of attacks in Benue State.
The coordinated attack took place in Gwer East, Kwande and other parts of the state.
4. The police has paraded Peter Nwachukwu, husband of late Gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Peter, who is the prime suspect in the death of the singer was paraded before his children and relatives at the police headquarters on Thursday.
5. Fear has gripped residents of Ago panu Community in Owo council area of Ondo state, following the gruesome murder and the beheading of a farmer, Unaha Enesi, by suspected herdsmen.
Sources said that the middle-aged victim was k!lled on his farm located at Ago Panu at Upenmen, Owo, along Owo/Ikare road, and the k!llers made away with his head.
6. President Goodluck Jonathan has said he’s is not ready to join the presidential race.
Jonathan stated this on Friday while addressing some protesters who stormed his private residence in Abuja, urging him to declare his intention.
7. Gunmen and bandits were engaged in a heavy fire exchange in a community in Niger State on Friday.
There were casualties in both sides.
8. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday met with delegates of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State.
The VP said he remains a candidate to beat in the 2023 election.
9. An Abuja Federal High Court has sacked Yakubu Dogara from the House of Representatives.
Justice Donatus Okorowo, in a judgment, declared that having defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC), Dogara was no longer qualified to occupy the seat by virtue of Section 68(1)(g) of the constitution.
10. The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on Friday declared 12 persons wanted for different crimes in Anambra State.
The suspects are accused of conspiracy, murder, armed robbery, terrorism, kidnapping, cultism and unlawful possession of firearms.
