1. Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alafin of Oyo is dead.
Oba Lamidi, who is believed to be the longest serving Alafin of Oyo, died at the age of 83 on Friday and has since bee.ln buried according to Islamic rites.

2. No fewer than 109 youths have been burnt to death in an illegal bunkering site in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government area of Imo State.

Reports says over one fifty peoples sustained serious degree burns.

3. The Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State Government has directed the reopening of all Chrisland Schools in the State.
Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, explained that the reopening of the school was to ensure that other students were not denied access to learning while an investigation into the issue continued.

4. Suspected gunmen have allegedly kidnapped 10 persons, suspected to be herders in Anambra State, with a demand for N4 million and an AK-47 riffle as ransom.

Reports say the incident happened at Obene community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State hours of Saturday.

5. Kidnapers have killed popular Kano businessman, Sani Umar.
The gunmen killed the business tycoon after collecting about N10m ransom from the family.

6. Some 2023 Presidential aspirants were on Saturday treated to an Iftar dinner organized by President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha.
The dinner which took place at the Old Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, commenced at about 07:00 pm with dignitaries arriving at 06:20 pm
