Nigerian student Ikem murdered by Chinese in Philippines

A Nigerian student, known simply as Ikem, met a brutal end at the hands of a group of Chinese individuals in the Republic of the Philippines.

A close associate of the deceased, identified as Michael Ojuola, took to his social media account on Sunday to share the grim news. He conveyed, “A friend of mine, a Nigerian medical student named Ikem, who was pursuing his studies in the Republic of the Philippines, was subjected to a savage and fatal assault by a group of Chinese.”

He described the horrifying sequence of events, explaining that the attackers bound Ikem’s hands, covered his mouth, and mercilessly beat him until he succumbed.

Ojuola expressed his vehement conviction that this heinous act should not be allowed to go unnoticed, irrespective of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China. He decried the inhumanity and brutality of the incident, admitting that the graphic hospital videos he had received left him deeply distraught.

Additionally, he called upon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, and other stakeholders to address and take action on this distressing situation.
